			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>first off, I&#39;m going to be a freshman in hs. I want to play on the soccer team, and i have 3 weeks until school starts. I havent practiced running since school ended in june .I didnt have a soccer team in middle school, and the last time i was on a team was 3 years ago, but I have played other sports since then. What can i do for stamina and endrance? speed as well? answers and advice is much appreciated. :]<br />
<br />two core ideas:</p>
<p>1. run bleachers for stamina and &quot;suicides&quot; the back and forth- tag the line drill. This will build your endurance more than adequately.</p>
<p>2. Soccer traing is first and foremost about muscle memory.<br />
You need the eye /foot coordination set in stone at that level. Juggling, cones, and drills are a must. I wouldnt stop kicking the ball/dribbling/juggling between now and the practice. and i&#39;d let the coach see you doing it too.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Hi, I&#39;m thinking of trying out for Forward/Striker for my school&#39;s soccer team in the fall so I want to practice and train during the summer. Currently I go to the Weight Room and work out my legs because I want to have a stronger shot than what i already have. Also I run at the tracks a bit but not so much because I get tired easily. I would like to know if there are any training techniques and/or workouts I can use to be able to run faster, for a longer period of time. Also if you can teach me some effective soccer drills for Forwards it would be greatly appreciated. I have been playing soccer all my life, (I&#39;m 14 years old in 9th grade currently) and i already know all the basics except I want to master the curl/curve and have an even more accurate shot.<br />
So what I need help with is Speed, Endurance, What to do in the Weight Room, and How to improve my shot and skills in soccer.<br />

<br />Spend more time on the track and less time in the weight room. The only way to improve your conditioning is to run. A striker needs to be fast but he/she also needs to be quick and able to run for a whole game without sucking wind. Instead of focusing on one position try to be proficient at all positions. I used to move my strikers back to defense as a fullback or sweeper when I needed speed in the back. Increase your speed by sprinting short distances and doing (plyometrics) Look it up. When working out in the weight room use light weight and do high reps. Spend an adequate amount of time doing (core) exercises. Work on your abs.<br />
Swimming is excellent for over all conditioning. I used to make my players run sprints in a pool as if they were running on a track. The water resistance is good for building strength in the legs and also improving muscle twitch fiber for speed.<br />
While in the pool swim some laps for the rest of your body and heart and lungs.<br />
Another thing I did was I had my players put 2 pound ankle weights around their ankles. Then I had them play short scrimmage games. Or I had them run on the beach in the sand. Speed is important but the goal is to play the last quarter as if it were the first. The team that has better over all conditioning is the team that will win games.<br />
There is no magic pill or formula to be fast. 90% of speed is hereditary. As boring as it sounds, sprinting will help speed and distance running improves condition. Good luck</p>

<br />There are drills you can do to improve agility. If you do sprints, then jog it will help with your game play/ ball winning. To improve your jogging run a minute then walk 30 seconds, slowly lengthen your run and shorten your walk. Gradually you will stop walking and running longer. You can also just run a mile and increase by a mile every two days. To improve your shot, you just have to practice.</p>

so any drills or tips to practice before tryouts?<br />
<br />They will want to see that you can run. Try to do sprints in your yard and time yourself. Each day, make a reasonable goal to beat the previous day&#39;s best time by a second or two. Drink water, stay hydrated, and rest well before you try out. Regardless of your skills make sure to smile, be a positive sportsman and a good teamplayer. The Coach will see that in you and want someone with that attitude on their team. After day 1 of tryouts say &quot;Hey, I&#39;m really excited about becoming a member of this team&#8230; is there anything you can recommend for me to focus on or practice more?&quot; That will show that you have initative and are motivated. Like I said previously, they will want to see that you have a stamina in running. Buy a stopwatch and a pedometer. Always write down how many steps you took in a period of time that you ran and then try to beat your previous record. Your only real competition is yourself! Good Luck!</p>

<p>other than that, keep urself fit,stamina is important. for touch and passes, play futsal,it will improve that alot. vision will come with it,coz in futsal ur playing on a smaller space,so quick passes and reflex are VERY important. good luck with it.<br />

<br />You can do scrimmage.<br />
Passing- two lines at opposite ends. person who starts wtih the ball passes it accros then runs to the end of the other line.<br />
Repeats;<br />
Can be used with one touch or two touch.</p>
<p>World cup-Gather into even groups and pick a country and try to shoot *no defence, only golie* but before they shoot they must yell there countries name. And if they make it they go father up on the ladder. and if you lose your out.</p>
<p>Obsical Cources;<br />
Simple as dribbling around cones.</p>

<br />Not at all soccer drills will only help you increase your stamina and burn your fat nothing else. Try doing the following -<br />
- if you are a good lobber put some objects far aside and put some poles before it place the ball at the object and practice it atleast 20 times a day and keep increasing the distance between you and the object and put more poles as you get perfect in that you will become as sharp as Beckham and Figo.<br />
- If you are a midfielder work out on your passing and heading.<br />
- Practice free kicks by putting a 5 - 6ft objects and place the ball over them with control and dont put much effort on speed you will find yourself being smart when you do that . Practice it atleast 30 - 40 times a day it will help you a lot.<br />
Having confidence in yourself is very important dont lose it success only needs practice and interest.Thats all what i can say to you. I was very good in these things but my bones were not so strong which made it difficult for me to play football.</p>

<br />u need to play keep away it heps with control of the soccer ball put up cones for a barier like the out line on a field put all the team with soccer balls but only a cupple pf players dont u have to try to keep ur soccer ball in the longest</p>
